There are opportunities to volunteer with us during the day in the year-round Drop-In as well as in the evening and weekend during the Winter Night Shelter.
Ways to help in the Drop-In vary widely and all are equally important. Whether you are making hot drinks, cooking, sorting clothing or food donations, playing games or chatting with people, you are making a difference. We have food providers who can bring in a meal or cook on site using our stocks of food. Also, we welcome volunteers with professional skills, who are able to informally offer legal advice, hairdressing, benefits advice or podiatry to our services. The aim of Drop-In is to make this welcoming and safe place for people to come.
Become a Renewed Hope friend by register as a volunteer and gain access to our online roster to choose your shifts.
Winter Night Shelter
We have several roles for anyone who can help for at least one evening, night or a morning during the coldest months of the year. All of them are vital to make sure we can run a safe shelter. All we ask is that you attend Winter Night Shelter training session of about 2 hours. Roles include cooking, driving, listening and leading shifts.
