We are pleased to welcome and announce the appointment of the charity’s third permanent member of staff, Mary-Anne Parsons, who started as Volunteer and Fundraising Co-ordinator this week.
Mary-Anne’s role is to help volunteers and other supporters in their fundraising efforts for the charity and to manage the non-financial donations given including food and clothing. She will also be on hand to answer questions of volunteers along with the wider staff team.
Mary-Anne joins RHT at a time when the charity continues to raise funds for the refurbishment of Shrewsbury Chapel and our subsequent move there in the coming months. Building work has started and the funds are in place for the core works, but there are lots of items for which we still need funds.
If you would like help us by raising money then please get in touch with Mary-Anne via the usual office email address and telephone number below. She will be able to supply you with collection boxes, sponsorship forms and we also have an online fundraising page if you would like to organise an event. She can also supply you with leaflets to help publicise our work.
Taking on a third permanent member of staff has only been possible as a result of the generosity of our volunteers, churches and community groups, so thank you for making this possible.
The staff team now comprises: Project Co-ordinator Anna Coe; Kevin McKay, who is in post to take over Anna’s role when she goes on maternity leave in August; Administrator Yvonne Dover and Mary-Anne Parsons, Fundraising and Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
