What you can do

We rely completely on volunteers to make our Drop-In and Winter Night Shelter possible.

Winter Night Shelter

If you are prepared to attend a night shelter induction evening and training session, and can spare at least one evening, a night or a morning to help, we need people for the following important roles:

● general volunteer

● cook/cooking assistant

● laundry assistant

● delivery driver

● sleepover volunteers

● breakfast team

The night shelter is open from mid-December to March.

All year round:

Our daytime Drop-In is open to everyone and attracts lonely, homeless and unemployed people struggling with a range of issues. They all need a friendly face and a listening ear.

Some of the ways in which you can help include:

Preparing food

Listening

Filling in benefit forms or housing applications

No training is necessary, however please let us know if you have particular skills and knowledge of particular issues, such as housing law, benefits advice, addiction support.
